Chart of the East India Islands designed by A. Arrowsmith for his General Atlas. Aaron Arrowsmith (1750-1823) and his siblings John and Samuel were noted map geographers, cartographers, engravers and publishers active in the late 18th and early 19th Century. In 1820 Aaron, trained under John Cary and William Faden, was named Hydrographer to the King. The Strait of Singapore clearly mentioned. Presented in a gold colour wooden frame
