Funnel form with wide eight-lobed rim and compressed body, decorated with two figures and a buffalo; depicting the Chinese hermit Hsu Yu who refused the imperial throne, and the farmer Ch'ao Fu who refused to allow his buffalo to drink water from the stream where Hsu Yu washed his ears, probably Japanese Edo period.
