About the Auction

As watches leave the jewellery cabinet, we present our first standalone Watches & Timepieces auction.

As in the wider watch world, many of our headliners are contemporary independents: a Ressence Type 1 Squared X, one of only forty made; a Ulysse Nardin Freak X; a Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein collaboration; and a CODE41 NB24. A dedicated group of meticulously kept vintage Chinese watches follows, including a Tianjin dial carrying Mao's own handwriting.

Elsewhere, look out for a pair of Godzilla special editions from Grand Seiko and Swatch released two decades apart; a strong run of neo-vintage 'ana-digis' from Citizen and Seiko; timepieces from — not merely inspired by — the Art Deco era; and a number of regrettably non-plastic 'OG' pocket watches from the likes of Omega and Hebdomas. And from the cabinet they came out of, a fully diamond-paved Piaget and a sculpted 18K Pia Féerique. Not forgetting those perennial staples from Rolex, Breitling and TAG Heuer, among them a full-set Explorer II with its original papers.
