SINGAPORE, 17 September 2026 – Hotlotz has opened bidding in its September auction of ‘Peranakan & Associated Works of Art’, offering porcelain, blackwood furniture, textiles, beadwork, silver objects and jewellery drawn from Straits Chinese heritage.
Top lots include a large famille rose kamcheng painted with a phoenix among peonies on a turquoise ground, and a stunning three-seater blackwood bench inset with marble panels and dense mother-of-pearl shell inlay of Fu Lu Shou figures, birds and flowers, carved with foo lions and mythical beast heads to the legs.
Adding to the porcelain items on auction is an exquisite turquoise-ground famille rose fish bowl with an interior painted with five goldfish among aquatic foliage.
The auction also features jewellery – a pair of high karat gold diamond cluster earrings set with 56 diamonds totalling approximately 6 carats and a rose-gold and intan festoon necklace decorated in foliate scrollwork with five hanging droplets. Further highlights include an early 20th century peacock-decorated ‘Irish carpet’ textile panel; a similar, mirrored example is held in the collection of the Singapore Peranakan Museum.
Hotlotz operates timed, online-only auctions. Bidding closes Tuesday 29 September 2026, from 7pm onwards. All items are authenticated and available to view in the Hotlotz Saleroom.
